Jeff Davis

Bass

JEFF DAVIS, an acoustic and electric bassist, hails from the Midwest but  grew up in Germany where he first started playing the bass and at age 14 was already experienced playing professionally at Teen Clubs, NCO and Officer’s Clubs, and local venues in the central Germany area. His playing was influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Charlie Parker, Jaco Pastorius, Bill Evans, The Allman Brothers and Weather Report.

Jeff has been a mainstay of the Las Vegas music scene for over 30 years.  His credits include Joe Williams, Buddy Greco, Sergio Franchi, Bernadette Peters, Pete Christlieb, Brandon Fields, Marlena Shaw, Joe Lano, Robert Goulet, Vinnie Falcone, George Garzone, Richie Cole, Carl Saunders, Jack Jones, Michael Feinstein, Sam Most, Bill Cunliffe, Bobby Shew, Elliot Mason, Alan Ferber, Christian Howes, Carl Fontana, Redd Foxx and many others. He has also performed in a variety of Las Vegas shows such as Sinatra:Dance with Me, and Mannheim Steamroller, and has played at jazz festivals in the UK, Sweden, Finland, Australia and China.

Jeff has a Master’s in English and a Master’s in Music and divides his time playing bass and teaching English part time at UNLV.
